EURO-2012 among the UNESCO pearls

(L’viv – Kolomyia – Iaremche – Bukovel - Chernivtsi)

One of the main events of 2012 will be the final stage of the European championship and general attention will be attracted to Poland and Ukraine.

1st day:  

Meeting of the group by the company representative in the city of L’viv, the old part of which is on the UNESCO List

 In 2012 Euro Cup will be held in Lviv.

 Bus tour around the city – St.Iur Cathedral, High Castle Hill, Lychakiv cemetery. Lunch.

 Walking tour around the old city – Svobody (Freedom) Avenue, the Opera Theatre, Pidkovy Square, Latin Cathedral, Boims’ Chapel, Rynok (Market) Square, City Hall, Armenian Cathedral, Dominican Roman Catholic Cathedral, an architectural ensemble of Ruska Str., Gunpowder Tower etc.

 Visiting of the museums: drugstore-museum, museum of the ancient arms “Armory” (or the “Royal Halls”). Free time, souvenirs at Vernisage.

2d day 

Arriving in the city of Chernivtsi

Leaving for the town of Kolomyia. Town sightseeing tour. The museum of Pysanka (a unique museum built in the shape of egg, 14 m high, 10 m in diameter. It is made of colored glass with the general area of 600 square meters) exhibits the collection of more than 6000 pysankas (Easter painted eggs) from different regions of Ukraine and abroad.

 Leaving for the town of Iaremche.

 Walking sightseeing tour “Iaremche is a pearl of the Carpathians”, visiting of the folk art museum, waterfall “Probiy”, Dovbush’s cave.

 Leaving for Bukovel, a well-known ski resort at the foot of the same name mountain. There are professional alpine skiing tracks, ski lifts, a lot of hotels, bars and restaurants as well as saunas, Jacuzzi and spa studios on its territory. The complex also houses restaurant, kolyba and pizzeria.

 You will be offered delicious Hutsul cuisine dishes and a concert of local folklore groups will impress you very much filling your soul with unforgettable memories.

3d day:           

Chernivtsi is the most beautiful city in Ukraine, which  celebrated its 600th anniversary. This year Chernivtsi  National University has been included into the UNESCO List


Walking tour around the city “Small Paris in the Carpathians” with visiting of the main city squares (Tsentralna (Central) Square, Philarmonii (Philharmonic) Square, Teatralna (Theatre) Square, Soborna Square, Turetska (Turkish) Square), Olha Kobylianska Drama Theatre, Cathedral, former Armenian Catholic Petropavlosk Church erected in 1875 by the project of the architect Josef Hlavka (now – Organ Hall), George’s Church (wooden church of the XVIIth century), St.Nicholas Church (original church with twisted domes of the early XXth century) and other architectural and historical monuments.

 Tour around the main building of Chernivtsi National University, former residence of Bukovyna and Dalmatia Metropolitans (architectural monument designed by the architect J.Hlavka).

 Walking along Kobylianska Street, the most beautiful street of Ukraine where you can buy bouquets of flowers from beautiful Ukrainian girls dressed in ancient costumes.
